  3. Our gif only content threads have a rule where all thumbs must be posted as a static thumbnail that does not play. Currently imagebam made a change where they no longer produce static thumbs. Therefore, please do not use imagebam, or any host, that provides live playing gifs in those specific threads. If you see your gif playing once you post, try to use a smaller thumbnail and if that does not work use a different approved host.

    I frequently do a search for old pictures of celebrities, and Imagevenue is used a lot especially for older posts. It's why I ran into the issue. Now I'm not even getting an error page anymore, it just won't load at all. Browser giving ERR_CONNECTION_TIMED_OUT

    Strangely enough the thumbnails still appear to be working

    I have some information from the side from people who are in contact with them that the servers are either hacked or it is a hardware problem, but that they are working to restore it. Will it work, we'll see...

    Well there are also the issues of a site shutting down because they can't afford to keep it up, or going down because of a legal issue, etc. Glad to see it's working again for now.
